Mikey Shine is a professional musician based in the Leicester Forest East and currently performing with Black Grape. He has also performed as part of The Happy Mondays from 2005 to 2010, and Shaun William Ryder from 2010 onwards. After completing his college course in Contemporary and Popular Music, Mikey was in a number of semi professional local bands (Pali Gap, AKA Weave, Sonic Audio, The Deap People) playing Guitar or Bass Guitar and Vocals and performing nationally (including the Edinburgh Fringe and Glastonbury). In 2005 Mikey joined the reformed Happy Mondays as Bass Player and toured UK, Europe, America and Asia until 2010. He is featured on a number of recordings and DVD’s.

Mikey is currently working in Leicester Forest East composing, recording, and publishing his own material and collaborating with others to nurture Leicester's musical talent.
Based in Leicester, Mikey is an enthusiastic and proven provider of individual music tuition for guitar and bass at all proficiency levels. Lessons are tailored to individuals skills and music preferences and encompass composition, guitar tablature and where appropriate recording; Delivering an enjoyable rounded and enriching experience for the student building self awareness and confidence.
